The Napa Valley Register reports that the Butte Wildfire that burned over 70,000 acres in Calaveras and Amador counties in Northern California caused an estimated $450 million in damages, ranking it among some of the costliest fires in state history. Combined with the nearby Valley Fire in Lake, Sonoma, and Napa counties, the damages are even greater.

Baron & Budd’s Environmental Litigation Group is continuing to investigate claims against PG&E, the utility company which allegedly contributed to the start of the Butte Wildfire by neglecting to clear trees that touched area power lines.
